Face to face teaching has now resumed.  If you have not yet been to a class since lockdown things may look a little different when you first arrive for your class. I am closely following the recommended framework to help protect my clients.  I expect things may be quite changeable over the coming months if restrictions continue to ease or tighten again, and we will adapt as necessary.  If new lockdowns occur, or I have to self isolate for any reason, we are well prepared to move classes and private sessions online as needed.  We know now from experience that this works well. I will always communicate changes as quickly as I can, via newsletters, the Precision Poise WhatsApp group, and social media.

I have completed and passed the COVID-19 Awareness Training delivered by the ReActivate joint initiative from CIMSPA and Sport England, and am actively keeping myself informed on new guidelines, regulations and research.

Here are some examples of what to expect for face to face classes at the current time.

  • An online COVID-19 waiver form for group classes will be sent to all class attendees for agreement to adhere to infection control measures in place

  • Limited class sizes to a maximum of 5-7 persons depending on the hall used (advance booking is essential)

  • Clients must bring their own mats to class

  • Clients are recommended to bring their own small equipment with them to class (e.g. soft ball, resistance band, head block).  I will have a very limited number of spares with me for those who do to have their own and need to borrow one in class.  All such equipment will be sanitised after each use.

  • Floor markings are used to ensure mats are suitably distanced

  • Sanitisation of high traffic areas, such as door handles and barres, will occur before and after each class

  • Hand sanitiser is available in all classes and at the facility entrance

  • Air quality monitoring and use of open windows/doors to ensure ventilation within recommended levels

  • A one way system is in place on entering and exiting the building

  • Any client who is experiencing symptoms of coronavirus, such as a fever, cough or altered sense of taste/smell, or has been contacted by NHS Test and Trace is required to stay away from group classes for at least 14 days or until a negative test.

  • If you are returning from any country on the quarantine list you are required to stay away from group classes for the duration of the quarantine period.  If you develop symptoms of coronavirus during this time you must continue to stay away from classes for at least 14 days after the onset of symptoms.

If you are shielding or simply do not feel ready to return to face to face classes, there are online options available to you.  I run up to 3 online group classes per week in addition to our regular face to face classes and you are welcome to book into and attend these classes at any time (£7 per class or included as part of any membership package)

"Gina spent time working through a series of exercises that I can do to strengthen and showed me the modifications that made them work for my hip.  She is wonderful, kind and encouraging, explains things really well and was immensely patient when my brain needed time to process"
